I was asking myself the same question since I saw some pics of Matthew playing that new mystery Bass.
Where exactly are said pics?
Take a close look at the entire "What's New" section of the Fodera Website and follow the link there...

1990 Fodera Anthony Jackson left handed 6 string Contrabass lefty | eBay
(tho' i think it's overpriced.)

same here ! you'll have a hard time selling it for that price - but good luck :smug

used 6-string? one from around that same time period went for $5,100 on ebay about 6 months ago--and it was refurbished with a new pope pre and hardware. i bought an 89 6-string for way less that his asking price around the same time as well.
so, yeah, i think it's overpriced.
besides, most guys want the newer pickups/pre, the wooten/garrison/emperor body styles (see the standard series) and more ornate wood choices.
if the seller gets that price, that's great. i'll just be surprised.
The 6 string that sold for $5100 was what that seller was probably willing to let it go for.
nope. it was his minimum. i was watching it closely, cause i'm one of those guys who like that vintage. (it hit right when i was negotiating for the 89 bass i bought.)
and sure, someone may purchase it, but my recent experience shows me otherwise (there are some used 5-strings that have been languishing on ebay for a while).
i actually *track* for basses of this era because i'm somewhat obsessed with them. (another example, a guy in l.a. who had a right-hand twin to the bass you posted, couldn't get $5,500 for it and was selling it for months).
guess we can watch and enjoy the show.
But I'm sure we can agree that all it takes is that one person who is looking for that particular bass(or close to it) to come along and it's gone.
