The koa Monarch getting a workout tonight. July 4th we open for The Bangles at a festival in Newport Beach - I think that'll be a YYD evening.
Has anyone ever ordered a matt garrison with pj pickups, or how about even just a single cut with pj pickups?

Yes, I have one on order that I timed the order of to be stamped on our 30th Anniversary (March 14, 2013). It will bea Monarch 4 Elite with the following specs:
Mahogany Body
Chestnut Tone Block
Brazilian RW FB
Crotch Walnut (non-solid) top
5-piece neck built with Birdseye Maple sides, a 5a Flame Maple center and South American Rosewood stringers (all from wood that's been in the shop for at least 15 years)
J/J single coils (still deciding on plastic or wooden covers)
Possibly / probably the last one that I will build for myself as there aren't any of the Monarchs that I have that I could really see parting with...

Just since it has recently been mentioned...
What are the tonal attributes of holly when used as a top?( taking into account, of course the limitations to what can be said about the effects of tops in general).
