Our pickups are not standard SD pups in any way. They have all been designed back and forth between SD and our shop and all of our Fodera / Duncan pups are built by the SD Custom Shop for us...not as part of their regular production.

Just noticed that the single, bigger magnet dots at the high C string position.

Is that a custom pickup layout or all SD pickups for extended-range basses are like that?

Now i've got to say that you lot have by FAR the worst ratio of jaw flappin' to bass picture posts i've seen on these forums. Come on people, i'm lucky to see even one bass on most pages in this thread.

Lol, I think the Fodera new born section is pretty adequate, especially with the search function. Want to see burl claro walnut? There you go!

I have a Callowhill bass on order, and trust me, that brand thread has way less pics . . . as do many others.

i apologise if this has been covered in another post...but this is the first time ive seen this bass..(holy schmollys)..but the question i have,...why is the pickup(s) on the high c ...singular and not doubled like the remaining of the pickup?

For guys who play with the pickups VERY close tht strings, the thin C string can get a little "lost" between the dual poles.

This one looks very classy. I wonder why masur birch is not used more often, I have played some basses with mb top and they all sounded great (european brand "Neuser" uses mb a lot).
