I am not very fond of Fodera Yin Yang, until I see this.

What do they call the little wood block surrounded by the ebony top, walnut body and maple neck?

I think that's the lighter colored wood for the yin yang top. In this case, I believe it's satinwood.

did you see my question regarding fret wire?...just wondering what kind is typically used on foderas, guessing that the 'size' may be down to the customer.
Also, is different wire used on different models?
As in, does a Presentation odel typically get different wire from a Monarch?

We only offer two sizes..."large" and "small." We do not share what "brand" of wire we use...I hope you understand. In terms of size, the large is kind of the size of Fender's medium jumbos and the small is kind of like mandolin frets...

I can't answer you question in full but when I ordered my bass I did not specify the size of fret wire. The large size was on my spec sheet. I'm guessing that is the default and if you want smaller just ask.
