You've clearly been listening to Anthony Jackson recordings too much again.

I don't know man, if someone is to own a boutique bass worth about 10k or more, $250 shouldn't be an issue. For example, headlights on an Audi cost about $800 a pop. You shouldn't buy an Audi if you can't afford to repair a headlight. I understand we all have different financial situations, but if ima buy a bass for 10k, I shouldn't have to worry about paying for repairs.
I agree. That's call maintenance.
I drive an Audi. And play a Fodera. Life is good to me.

Stewart, you're running your basses passive, right?
I bet it's the pickups at some level since you've eliminated so many other variables. That's not a bad thing; you might just have to try some other things out, and I bet Fodera would be good people to talk with about some other options.
I would personally be looking into a Nord P or Lindy P for a p pickup.
i don't know if i should laugh, feel insulted . . . or both.

maybe he is playing his own designs that were built by Vinny or as written on the pic below - designs made by Vadim.... wasn't there a green 6 with Fanned Frets some years ago for sale on ebay ? If I remember right it was also made by Vadim...
