I don't think I have seen a new Fodera build in months that wasn't! Lots of great stuff coming out of Fodera lately.

And yikes! What a beautiful instrument! Congratulations, I'll bet it just sings.

My custom arrived today. Fodera and Jason deserve a public thank you on this instrument. Its the tone I was after. Bell like highs from the ebony walnut maple combo and teeth rattling mids that cut. Im not sure what the chambering and koa did, but I like it. Its got substantial punch too. Harmonics chime out effortlessly. Drummer should be here in a few minutes so the fun continues...

Yeah, I couldn't more pleased. Even the wife is crazy about it. Didn't see it in newborns yet, must be in the que.

Ebony covers, they feel great

Yeah, Hou, pure black ebony is getting rarer and rarer these days. You'll see a lot more "figured" ebony as time goes on. I've seen it referred to as blistered, spalted, streaked, and just plain figured, but regardless the name, it's going to be the same tone and feel, just a lot more interesting to look at, and have more of an aesthetic element for luthiers to work with.

Great top.... For a Standard

If the Monarch Standard was a 5er, I would have bought one likely.

My Monarch 5 Custom starts being built in Dec, but in the meantime, my E5S ain't too shabby!

I was originally gonna go with a rainbow maple or an ebony top, but then I watched a video of Vic and he had a beautiful newer flame maple bass and I fell in love with the simple elegance! I will say that out of the 5 Foderas that I have owned, this one blows them all out of the water!

I would love to have a 33" scale 4-string! Definitely next on the list.

My bad - sweet bass. I think Tony Grey recently got a 33" scale 4-string.
