Says the body is fiddleback maple also, hence my confusion- I think the body is actually something else, right? (Figured mahogany?)

LOL, that's what happens when the original working specs rather than the as-built specs get posted accidentally!! Have a look once more as everything has since been corrected.

That's x-actly why I asked.
So what did you guys do to the Copy after it was in your shop? Please tell me there was a bonfire involved.
Luckily I am simple on the guitar side. I have owned quite a few nice guitars but my repaired headstock 1996 Les Paul Studio is a freak of nature that sounds killer stock. I just love the thing.
Anyways, back to watching the Leafs lose a hockey game to Buffalo as I look a pictures of mango tops for my fretless Fodera build.
I hate having no gigs for a couple weeks!

I love the last couple of minutes.... Great tone and playing. Steely Dan meets Jaco for a few bars there. Cool stuff! What strings are you using and how much (if any) neck PU is being used?
I think my fretless Monarch 5er would look/sound great with a mango top. Nailed down the 3 piece red oak neck, walnut body and ebony fretboard.... Mango is likely the top. Something different for a change.

Thanks - Fodera nickel strings (28-100). Mostly bridge pup in dual coil mode, bit of bass and mids added in. The Monique/Minnie/Baer combination gets credit as well. It is just ridiculous how good all the Foderas sound through the rig. I've found the settings that I like and have changed up my technique a bit. I'm playing a lot more thumb and palm mute because both the 5'ers speak so well. Add in some pick and you've got a ton of different colors available.

+1. I'm completely in love with my Monique/Minnie/Epifani set up. Every one of my basses just sound the best they've every sounded, and tweaking is at a constant minimum, regardless of the room. I run my Fodera in passive mode almost 100% of the time and just add some nice bass, a little mids, and a dab of highs on the Monique EQ and every gig is tone heaven. My Alleva KBP5 w/ flats just sounds ridiculous. Such a wide array of great sounds with extremely little effort!
Right on! I love the way the bass tone your'e getting works with the flute and that Rhodes sound.

I have been meaning to comment on the stability of the neck on my MG and the incredible construction. I bought it from a TB'er in Houston and it came to me in VA. The action is lower than on many of the electric guitars I have played with just the slightest amount of relief in the neck. I thought it would need at least some minor tweaking of the truss rod and bridge going from pretty low humidity in Texas to very high humidity in VA but I haven't had to touch it. It still plays perfectly with no buzzing or choked notes anywhere on any string from the nut to the 26th fret. Really quite amazing and a real testimony to the quality of the wood and incredible attention to construction detail practiced by the Fodera luthiers.
