Thanks to all of those that have reported the fakes on eBay. I know how busy you all are and it means the world to all of us here at the shop that you care enough about us to take your valuable time to do this!!

Cheers,

Jason

Hello all, this is my first post on this forum; I've been lurking for several months and enjoying all the pictures and exchanges and everything. I ordered my Fodera in February of this year and I have been so restless ever since; 2014 can't possibly come quickly enough. As I get sent more pictures then I'll update my account and post them here for some group drooling! For now I will just say hello, thanks for some great discussions (they've helped better inform my order and given me ideas about slight changes here and there to my bass), and many thanks to Fodera; I had a Skype conversation last week with Barrie from Bass Gear, here in the UK, and with Jason and Phil over at Fodera and they were all so patient and took the time to answer all my silly questions. I am so excited it's unreal (fairly typical Fodera fever, I guess)!

Welcome to the club! I to am waiting for my bass...should be ready right around Xmas. I can't wait to see a picture in progress, but right now it would probably only be a half carved neck. I think they have a one pic policy for works in progress, so I'll wait till the body and neck are one. And yes, the folks here are great and very helpful(not to mention funny and neurotic). Plus we've got our own inside man, Just Thumpin'!

Well, welcome to TB and the exclusive (not really) Fodera thread. Why don't you fill us in on the specs?

It's an exciting time, man. I guess you're a few months ahead of me, but man, what a Christmas present for you! What specs have you gone for?

Thank you, man. Ok, here goes:

* MG Imperial design
* 5 String (B-G)
* 34" scale
* 17.5 mm string spacing
* Walnut body with alder tone block
* 3 piece hard rock maple neck
* Madagascan kingwood board
* Maple burl top
* Matching pup covers

I wanted something warm and articulate, so hopefully those specs will get me there. I'm looking forward to showing everybody the top; it is absolutely stunning!

I hope it comes by December 20th, but I'll be happy no matter what. Here's the specs:

Monarch 5 strung B-G
Spalted rainbow maple top
Mahogany wings, Ash center
Bolt-on 34" 3-piece Maple neck
Ebony board
17.5" spacing
DC PUP's

I'm half asleep, so hopefully I got that right. Hope I wake up before I get to school to teach the kiddos how to screech..I mean play..their Fiddles

What kind of tone are you going for with that bass?

Welcome to TB and welcome the Fodera thread. Yeah, the Fodera people are great with the responses to questions and their patience in
working with you to get your bass just right. My first custom instrument ever and even though mine will probably be done mid 2014, still excited
as ever.
