Says that it was delivered with a scratch in the finish. So it was sent back to Fodera with a COA of refinish and strings and setup. Sold on reverb in mint condition. I am taking his word for it

I wouldn't dream of altering the thing if it weren't a bit of a redundancy in my quiver which could otherwise fill a niche. It'd be every bit as great as a fretless.
Every time I think about shipping it to someone though I feel like breaking into hives, so more than happy to keep it and enjoy it as is for now.

lol if that YY fretless swap showed up on the bst I'd trade for it in a SECOND. Unfortunately because it's a P Std Cl, no production fretless neck would even swap with it.

Fantastic top I love the sapwood center!
There's a Monarch four out there with a similar top to yours Duncan Duals and a Brazilian board. If it ever comes up for sale its mine all mine

I recently strung my monarch P with TI flats. The bass is even more fun to play now. However, I have buzzing on the fifth fret (C) of my G string, and a little bit on my open E string. I didn't used to have this, and no other fret buzzes. Maybe something got bumped during my move from MA to WI, but I didn't notice buzzing until I changed the strings. What can I try to fix this?

are the gauges the same? if they're not, they might be sitting in the nut slots differently.

also the thomastiks are lower tension than a lot of strings, so you might need to let the truss rod out a bit.

the easiest solution would be to try to raise the action at the bridge *ever so slightly*.

Apparently the original owner sold it. It was on the Bass San Diego site. It sold very quickly

So am I the only one that looked at pics of Fodera basses for years but only realized that the butterfly on the headstock had a "f" body when I purchased my first Fodera?
I can't believe that I never noticed that before ......

Sam's new Imperial sounds HUGE!! It seems he has the EQ flat and that bottom is PHAT!

I have Imperial elite 6-string on the way for me. Walnut body, flamed maple tone block, 5-piece maple/bubinga neck, ebony fretboard, rosewood pickup covers(duncan) and quilted maple topwoods... Will post pics when I get it
