Fodera Club Part XXVII

Sam's new Imperial sounds HUGE!! It seems he has the EQ flat and that bottom is PHAT!

I have Imperial elite 6-string on the way for me. Walnut body, flamed maple tone block, 5-piece maple/bubinga neck, ebony fretboard, rosewood pickup covers(duncan) and quilted maple topwoods... Will post pics when I get it :)

He seems to cut the treble and uses the neck pickup in start.

Sounds like pretty cool specs for your Imperial 6

You guys have any advice regarding cracks? Do I need to be concerned or do anything?

My YYSS was a gift from my wife last xmas, so on the one hand I want to take care of it (I've babied it so far). On the other hand I have zero interest in ever selling it, so not really worried about resale so much as longevity and just maintaining it. Kind of a bummer, but if it's just an aesthetic thing I'm not super upset. After all I'm cracking a bit too.

From the photo it looks like the ebony is splitting, but over the other wood it looks like just the finish. You should send those photos to Fodera for sure. Neither of those things should be happening a year out.

Yeah it's painted spalted maple - not ebony. I sent the pics to Fodera and curious what they'll say about it.

Come on, that little dirt? Man that is a great bass! Keep it.

I'm not sure if that was to me. I was never considering not keeping it - lol I'd probably have to move out. :roflmao:
In fact if I were thinking of selling it, I'd be more worried about it cracking. I just want to check that it doesn't imply some structural issue or anything I should do to keep it from getting worse over time.

Beautiful!
I believe I'd have to take a day or two break to get acquainted with that beautiful bass! That top totally kills!
