FOMO on TT-800?

Note that the WD-800 footswitch will work fine as well, just that the second function will be mislabeled

I currently have a WD-800. Let me explain what I’m going after. I currently do not have a footswitch for the parametric EQ. I’m looking for a two channel configuration where I can setup for a thumpy, bass heavy vintage tone and then switch to a more modern grind. Can this be accomplished just by switching the EQ in and out? Is the TT-800 just THAT much better? The TT would seem to fit the bill with the Boogie channel as my thump and the Subway channel as my grind. Thoughts as to how/why the TT might be superior? A lot of people seem to rave about the WD.
Just to add to my previous post praising the TT... I do have the Mesa foot switch, which I bought when I owned the WD, but I've never needed or used it. I'm kind of an analog guy, and when I switch basses for different songs I mute with my tuner and unplug/plug-in whatever bass I'm using (no A/B switch). And since I'm usually just a few feet away from my rig, I use the channel switch on the amp itself to switch between channels, rather than bother with a foot switch... YMMV...

A footswitchable FX loop, ala the MPulse, would be really nice. In fact, that amp had it all…footswitchable solo boost, EQ, compression, and FX loop! I wonder if we ever see another “do it all” bass amp like that @agedhorse? Add the switchable overdrive from the Big Block 750 and you have a true do anything head. It would never fit in a Subway form factor though…

Well, FedEx didn’t make the delivery today. The truck was all around the area on the tracker but I guess just ran out of time before they got to the deliveries. Stupid Black Friday! Probably won’t come until Monday now !

The WD is still for sale - $800 shipped in the classifieds!
I would wait and compare the two amps before selling the WD. Just in case you happen to prefer it.

And?...

Andy's right - it is possible you'll prefer the WD. Fortunately, I don't have a WD to compare to my TT! :hyper:
