That guy was on TB under the name "pmgleenis" he was banned and came back under the name "lee (i forget the rest)" and was banned again , both times people talked about his lack of skill.

Basically dont buy from him , he is probably a guest on here and checks the page or started another account.

OK, Here is where I am at with relicing up a CIJ Fender '62 RI Jazz Bass.
I got it in the mail this afternoon. Right away I pulled the frets, filled the slots with CA, re-dressed the fingerboard. Then started relicing the body.
I know it's half crazy to try and relic a poly finish, but I did my research and have the right tools at hand. So I figured, what the heck.
So here it is... I think it is not too bad so far. :D Be nice now.

The RW Fiesta Red has been the only "relic-ed" instrument I ever wanted. And that's 'cause you can't get a "non-relic-ed" Fender Jazz in that color, new. It's kind of nice.

I believe you can get the '50s Classic P-bass in Fiesta Red--or is that Dakota Red? :p

I think we might be safe here. Assuming that to "relic" an instrument, is to make it look as if it has been in use for a long time, this instrument does not even remotely qualify.

I'm not trashing anyone, but simply observing that this particular instrument does not look used. It looks like some 8 or 9 year old suddenly had a bright idea.

i agree, looks to clean.found that with a few road warn guitars.but someone will like it and buy it iam sure,
each to their own if you like it you like it,somethings just cant be explained..;)

I'm in the 'age is earned' camp but that right there is looking pretty darned authentic to me.

As for that 'astonishing' attempt first posted - I'd repaint it and try again to put it mildly.

That ebay bass is insane. Why the luminous yellow overspray above the bridge pickup? It is half scraped away on some photos and fully there on others.

And how in an honest days work would jazz bass wear away where the scratchplate is?
