My electric guitar of choice for years was an Ibanez Roadstar2. Bought it new back in the 80's. It was cheap , it sounded pretty good and played like a dream. Used it in bands for about 20 years.
My acoustics are a 1970's Guild 12 string and an Ovation thin body 12 string. The Guild is for strictly acoustic solo stuff. Since the Ovation can be amplified , I have used it a couple of times on stage for one or two songs with the bands I'm in. I haven't had the Ibby out in years. Took the Guild on vacation a couple of times and did some busking on the Ocean City Boardwalk with it but for the most part , I very seldom play guitar these days.

I own 3 guitars at the moment. My Tele that I bought when I was 15,so that makes it roughly 20 years old now,my Hofner shorty that I recently got because it was dirt cheap and thought it was the coolest mini guitar. Last but not least is an Ibanez acoustic that originally belonged to my niece but she moved half way across the country and left it behind so I claimed it.
I have a bunch of guitars, but my two main players are:
Electric - Ibanez SZ520 in quilted maple (I know...)
Acoustic - Luna Woodland in bubinga
The Ibanez is surprisingly versatile. Having the pickup selector in the center position splits both humbuckers - that's pretty cool, if you ask me.
I won the Luna via a writing contest recently; I guess the story of how I got into playing was just pathetic enough to beat out the competition... I really like the tone of that guitar, though I'm not all that excited about the preamp.

I have a bunch of acoustics, my favorites are a Seagull and a 1970 Guild.
Two electrics; LP Studio from the 90's with ebony fretboard and a 1986 Kramer Baretta. I called it a Shredder for purpose of your poll. It has a beautiful neck, almost plays itself.

MIM Fender Stratocaster. Bought it when I started getting back in to music after a few years off. After a few months I dug out my MIM Fender Jazz Bass and the rest is history.
Anyways, strat is comfortable and versatile. What more do you need.

My main one- an older Schecter Omen, with SD Jeff Becks, also a older Peavey Generation (3 P/U tele style)
I play acoustic guitar for the most part. Martin D-18GE, Martin Custom OM-18 Special, Breedlove Roots OM/srh, Eastman AC420B, Guild G212 ... and one lone MIM Telecaster.
All of the above and then some! 
I don't have a single coil Strat or Les Paul equivalent at the moment, hoping to change that at some point. I have a "few" Super Strats (mostly for different tunings), some semi-hollows, full hollows, and some acoustics, a Steinberger, and a Nashville Tele style with a B-Bender built by Chris Stambaugh. No complaints here!

I'm not really an Epiphone guy (chalk it up to some bad experiences), but every time I see one of those I'm wishing I had one!!
I play my gf's Dean acoustic most often when I play guitar (actually hugged last summer quite a bit). What I WANT is either a thinline Tele or a hollow body of some sort, but bills, toddler, food, gas, bass necessities, and about 15 other things are going to come first. The Dean will hold me over though.

I am the one vote for I don't play guitar... I can, I just don't like to. Since everyone seems to have one, I just keep a guitar amp at the house.

I go budget with all of my gear, but fortunately Epiphone is delivering pretty well these days. My main player is the Epi Les Paul Standard Plustop Pro, which is a phenomenal instrument for the money. I also have an Epi Les Paul Jr. modded with a GFS Mean 90, which despite being bottom-rung cheap is a fun rocker. My acoustic guitar is a Yamaha FG730S, another affordable performer.
You missed out "Classical" which I also own. 
Why do I own 16 guitars (including a couple of basses)? Because I can afford to own some of the types of guitar I couldn't afford when I was younger (I'm 61 now) before eBay was invented. My favourites (at the moment) are a Squier Deluxe Strat on which I've swapped out the Wilkinson pickups for Lace Golds amongst other things, and my Gordon Giltrap Signature electro-acoustic.

a Siggi Braun custom HSH Powerstrat in red-matte, and an Ibanez RG2550Z in "mystic night metallic" (black-ish with some discreet silver-gold glitter).
i love powerstrats. The Siggi Braun is my main guitar, the Ibanez sorta replacement in case the other one gives up on stage (Floyd Rose tremolo ...). It´s got super bright clean tones, a chunky and powerful bridge humbucker for distortion, and just feels right in my hands. Also, I got it dirt cheap, literally for a few cases of beer, which makes it even more awesome

I am just learning and my instruments aren't expensive. An SX Hawk with eBay pick guard.
I also have an old Yamaha F-315A Acoustic guitar that is my brother in laws that he leaves here for practicing. I use it when I can.
I also have a Rogue 7/8 Scale starter acoustic I bought as a gift. The recipient has some complications so I am holding it for now.
The SX is a good strat copy, was dirt cheap, and a good player can make it sing.
The Yamaha is a nice solid well made guitar.
The Rogue is what I expect from Rogue. Should have bought an SX.
