I have a few guitars but am not much of a player. But the worship leader at our church recently got a Gretsch Electromatic 5420T in white - it is a beautiful guitar, sounds amazing through his Fender 2x12 amp. Makes me wish I could justify getting another guitar every time I hear him play it.
(Tele) SX Furian: P-90 neck pickup. I just put on some chrome flatwounds on it to play at a Jazz Open Mic. Haven't tried it out there yet. I just wanted an inexpensive guitar to use for gigs instead of worrying about bringing my favorite guitar.
(Acoustic) Mitchell Steelstring Acoustic/Electric: Also has flatwounds - I really like that mellow tone. It's a bit warped at the bridge so I had to put a piece of paper to make the piezo pickup work better. This is the guitar I use the most, which is making me realize I'm picking up some bad playing techniques/habits because I don't hear strings I mute incorrectly when playing it acoustically.
(Super-Strat?) Carvin DC127 (with DC400 routing, not active electronics): two HBs, P/U switch, two Volumes, two tones, phase switch, and two coil-split switches. I haven't played it in months unfortunately. This is the instrument I rescue first if there is a fire.
I'll play any guitar. However, I do have a preference for strat-style fixed bridges. As much as I like tremolos, I can't be bothered to fuss with them.
I'd like to get a Hollowbody jazz guitar, and/or a cheap 3-PU stratocaster. Or... if someone is bold enough to put three singlecoil strat pickups on a Hollowbody, then it would solve a few issues of mine. I couldn't say it would sound great, but whatever.... I'll make it sound great.
Unfortunately, all my amps are not gig-worthy: either not powerful enough, unreliable channel switching, and/or too unwieldy to carry around. Good thing I can play bass since I have gig-worthier gear.

I have an old Les Paul Jr that's about as good as a guitar can get. It's lightweight, resonant, no frills, only one pickup, and sounds like no other guitar I've ever played.
I have a bunch of other guitars, but that's the one.

My favorites to play are my Gibsons: Hummingbird Koa, Doves in Flight, Super Dove (really hard to find in good condition), and Les Paul quilt top.

Got a epi les Paul I use for noodling, not my favorite guitar but I paid next to nothing for it.
Got an 80's made in Korea fender acoustic that I love so very very much.
Most recently and currently my most favorite I got a squier Antigua bariton that is unbelievably comfortable and has a spectacular tone

Strats, Teles, etc. When it comes to guitar, I usually play Vintage Instrumental/Surf Music. My main guitar is a '63 Jaguar refin. It was stained light Mocha brown, years before I ever saw Elvis Costello's brown Jazzmaster.
And yes, it has a Tort pickguard, and is strung with D'Addario Chrome Flatwounds. So, when you see me pimping 'Flatwounds with Tort', it ain't just talk. Heh heh heh.

To cover the guitar bases, got to have a Strat and a Tele and something with humbuckers, and something with P90's, and a hollow body with either.....and a box guitar. That about covers it.

Here are my number ones. The model is Genesis by Epiphone. Made in '79.
These things are tonal monsters. First one cost $350 in a Portland guitar shop
(no tax, and the sales kid admitted "easily the best guitar on the floor").
I put the guitar through a bass drum at the climax of set at an show at Slabtown (or Calsport?)
around 2003 and broke the headstock.
Found a replacement on Craigslist a few years later for $300 in El Lay and came to appreciate
it so much that I took the broken original to Eric's Guitars in Van Nuys, where Eric did a brilliant repair.
I've bought a few cheap Gibsons for fun 'cause I like P90's,
but this is really all the guitar I could ever need, save an acoustic,
one of which Uncle Keef decrees every guitar should own.

i've had almost as many guitars as basses and keyboards ... currently ... a PRS SE Zach Meyers ... i wanted a USA PRS S2 , but i really liked the satin wide/fat neck on the Zach ... so it's been modded to ad S2 pickups , locking tuners , push/pull tone pots for coil taps , different caps , different vol bleed circuits ... it was slightly used .. so it has been a good deal ... feels good , sounds good and is quite flexible ... a semi -hollow
my other guitar was hidden away by a friend/salesman at SamAsh ... a new Yamaha AC3R elec/acoustic w/ the SRT preamp modeling ... also has a satin open pore neck back side ... as all my guitars/basses do .. !
whether they start life that way or not .. !! #0000 steel wool and Scotchbrite pad makes them nice and smooth and feel 30-40 yrs old .. !
