John Lodge of The Moody Blues. Good singer, excellent bass player, almost a complete unknown to anyone who's not either a fan or in the bass community.

I'm bass player/co-lead singer in a Moody Blues tribute band, and trust me, his bass parts are excellent, and singing while playing them is often not an easy thing to do!
