forgotten bass heroes

Also, I know Fleetwood Mac are getting a lot of attention currently, but could John McVie be considered forgotten? He's clearly overlooked, if nothing else, especially considering the band is half-named after him.

Mika Horiuchi. He's played on a bunch of metal albums, he can shred with the best, but his playing is always tasteful and serves the song. Look him up, I'm sure you'll be impressed.
Ralphe Armstrong. He is an amazing bass player who started playing professional gigs with high class musicians and groups (Santana, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa, etc) when he was 16. An amazing bassist.
