forgotten bass heroes

ok
i wanna hear from you all about awesome bass players that don t quite get the attention they deserve...you know, never made it to the cover of bass player n such...;)
so i ll start off with> Steve diGiorgio
do you remember this guy?
used to play with sadus and on couple of death albums(human and individual thought patterns)
besides being an outstanding player, this guy played some of the coolest basslines in death/trash metal i EVER heard...
+ having the balls to play fretless in a death metal bend...:D:D:D:D PRICELESS !!!!!!!
also, giovanni tommasso(not sure about spelling) an italian jazz bassist..wonderful,singing basslines, and an uncanny abillity to
play ONLY what s good for the song, without those in-your-face attitude jazz bassists seem to grow now and then..

your turn
hit me:hyper:

dennis dunaway is high on the list. but he is still remembered by musicians. a big one for me though is Greg Chaisson from badlands. 3 badlands albums. he had one solo album, and played in Die Happy, Red Sea, and blindside blues band after badlands. amazing tone. classic blues rock bassist but very aggressive, moving basslines.
