Hi guys,

It has been literally years since I've had time to administer this forum. But with our current global status of shutdown, lock down, and quarantine, I'm re-booting it for the time being, and seeing if there's anyone out there still interested in hanging out here and asking questions.

A LOT has happened since I was last active on talkbass Ask A Pro, so here are some highlights, some new avenues of exploration, and some fresh links to stuff you might dig checking out.

The newest addition to my channels is "The Pedal Studio" which launched just a few days ago, and will feature my kind of crazy 300+ pedal collection, as well as new stuff, borrowed stuff, prototype stuff, and suggestions from YOU!

I've re-launched my podcast which was the thing that got me started with the online music community back in 2007. There are, as of the writing of this post, 71 new episodes since November of 2019, and it's something I post an average of 4-5 episodes a week. I've started adding interviews to the podcast in the past month, and guests already include Gabriel Santiago, John Davis, and Tim Lefebvre, with Gary Willis, Benny Greb, and Henrik Linder already recorded and launching in the coming weeks.

Bass player podcast alert! I have a new podcast with my wife, Chelsea, who is a great bass player. It's called Two Bass Hit, and is at least once, sometimes twice a week. We're 16 episodes in, and our last episode featured our first guest: James Valentine of Maroon 5.

And then best part? It's all free! I'm doing my best to bring as much value to the bass community, now more than ever. I know everyone is in the same boat with cancelled gigs, shelter in place orders, and a general uncertainty as to when this might all be over. But that doesn't mean this has to be boring, or that we can't accomplish an immense amount with all this extra time we have.

Drop me some comments and questions, and I'll do my best to keep up with things in this forum.

Thanks,

Janek
