It can't. Notice how Elixir has comments disabled on that video. They didn't want the bad press of getting slandered for such a bulls*** video! :scowl:

Cable capacitance causes attenuation of the signal resulting in the highs being rolled off. They tested against a cable with higher capacitance (Monster Rock?), and probably EQed to accentuate the difference.
