haha - lomo, how far up in the Frozen North are you? Isn't it heading into summer up North?

It's winter down where I live - but it doesn't snow/freeze in Melbourne (Australia).

Just as well - my fingers don't move too great when they get cold.

Does anyone have anything specific they'd like me to try and do for the jam tracks? I don't want to totally rip off specific songs. Feels and styles is the aim.

I am going to focus on stuff for us bass players this weekend anyway.

Could you do some some reggae, ska, rocksteady and/or other Carribean riddims? Also, could you thow in something harder/heavier? There's not a lot of hard rock/metal jam tracks out there.

Very good idea on the reggae/ska etc suggestion. I will work on putting something in that light together over the coming weeks. I need it for myself as much as anything. Gotta get some reggae happening - I was talking to a mate of mine who played bass with one of the Wailers the other night about it funnily enough.

hard rock/metal - that is a tougher one for me cause it's not what I listen to so much. But I will look into it and get some stuff of friends into that and put something together.

At the end of the day I'll try and do it so there is just about every style covered in at least some light. Gotta start varying the progressions and the stlyes.

Where are you from MellowTone?

cofibreyk - the files are wma files - they are a windows media player standard. The files play on my cd player and in my car so I left them as that. However - a few people have asked me to put them up as mp3's as well. So at some point soon I will work out what I gotta do to convert them all to mp3 and do that so they are available in both formats.
