I do have one and it is amazingly versatile but is not suited for MBD1 territory lol.
It does subtle to aggressive OD better than any pedal I've tried. It retains the bottom end and is super touch sensitive. However it doesn't go into metal or super aggressive rock. It stays warm through the full spectrum. If you are looking for subtle blues to hard rock it's the best pedal I've tried. And I've tried the all lol
If you are looking for something really aggressive get the Damnation, 5arkglass or the triton labs fet or even the mantis vitriol

Which ons are you selling to fund the bb2?
I've gone through and sold several over the past few years. The ones I can quickly recall are Darkglass VMT, Pike Vulcan, Xotic BB, Blueberry, Barbershop. There were a few more that didn't last more than a few days before flipping. I've even decided to sell my Sadowsky SBP-2 as the BB-2 with the gain at min can do the clean gain pre better than the Sadowsky.

Fir OD, I run a barbershop and a silverstone but am still interested in a greater variety of 'voices'.
And since you mentioned it: What is the broadcast like?

The designer's goal for the Broadcast was to replicate the sound of an overdriven vintage recording console. I think it does exactly that, from slightly colored and gritty tones to full on hard clipping fuzz (think: Beatles' Revolution guitar tone). It sounds great across the board. It just doesn't do that typical TS style OD that the BB-2 does better than anything I've tried before it.
TS style OD?...is that tubescreamer and is the BB-2 a Tubescreamer clone/variant?
There are more technically minded people around here that can give more specifics, but my understanding is that the BB-2 is a Tubescreamer based circuit with a charge pump, active tone controls and, to my ears at least, some fixed amount of clean blend that retains the low-end.
That said, a ridiculous amount of ODs for guitar and bass are TS-based, but I've yet to find one that sounds this good on bass. So, take the "TS-based" thing with a grain of salt...

Got some information from the guys at Free The Tone this week. I was inquiring about the new Programmable EQ and also found out they're working on a new bass overdrive pedal to be released in 2018. If it is anything close to the Bass Blaster then I'm really looking forward to this. Here's a pic from their Facebook page:
Also the Programmable EQ sounds very interesting. I was told it will be analog signal / digital (& MIDI) control. The frequencies look bass friendly on the low end.

Yes. It will be interesting to see how close the new OD is to the Bass Blaster. But don't deny yourself in the meantime!
