I read somewhere there that it sucks, but to be honest, I love it. I bought a Colorsound Ring Mod, to compare, but I'm selling it right now. I prefer the EHX.
I use it to thicken my sound, before the OD/distortion. It adds lots of interesting harmonics, once you overdrive it. Such as an octaver put before an OD, but in more complex.
I also use it to add a light high sound over my dry sound (with frequency put really high). Overdriven or not. As the frequency differences are not really different between this high and the ones I play, the sound is almost allways the same. Pretty interesting.
And there are more uses of this, of course. hich are not allways musical, of course..
