Fret finish issue

While cleaning my strings I oversaturated my cloth with rubbing alcohol and ended up with a white residue on the frets. Seems like I may have messed the finish up. Can I use regular paste wax to repair this issue?

[Turnaround]

You need to clean the fretboard. The white stuff is the residue from the alcohol on accumulated finger gunk. Take the strings off. Clean the fretboard with a cloth dampened with water with some dish soap in it. Scrub. You don't want to get the fretboard wet, you just want to scrub off the gunk. Then a drop or two of mineral oil on a clean rag rubbed on will make it look nice. Not too much oil either. Two drops should be enough for the entire fretboard.
