Double Bass Fretboard relief?

That depends on the needs of the player, but a general rule of thumb is the thickness of each string of relief around the neck joint (the note D or Eb on the g string). This means there will be more relief under the E string than the G string. This is usually achieved with a block plane followed by the scraper to smooth the surface.
