Fretless Sandwich

Hey Fellows

I´ve read alot on TB lately and now decided to share my first complete self-build bass.

Im 24 and from germany and totally addicted to the Bass Guitar.

I started playing 8 years ago und now that I managed to actually build my own Bass guitar...the circle fells kinda closed, if you knwo what I mean :)

Enough said.

Specs are:

Body: Wenge Top, maple and wenge veneer accent lines, mahogany core, maple and wenge veneer, and a wenge back.

Neck: Mahogany, Maple veneer lines and the two middle stripes I dont know the wood (maybe you?)

and an Ebony Fingerboard with maple fretlines.

Pickups is the EMG PJ Set.

And now some pics

Nice work, especially for a first build! I especially love the mahogany/maple/wenge contrast on the body sides.

Doesn't it feel great to make music with an instrument that you made with your own hands?

Hey thanks guys

The sound is huge...the active emgs have a really high output.

the tone poti is down all the time...otherwise it would yound to punchy...but i think with the right settings on the amp i got a really nice fretless sound

yeah there are some things i dont like anymore on the bass...the design was not well thought trough...i just wanted to start building....

@arnie sorry i have to look it up when im at the workshop next time

keep it up guys

greetings from a heatwaving germany
