The pickups are custom wound Bill Lawrence J5's, and the knobs are Vol/Vol on the front stack, and piezo blend/passive tone on the rear stack. The bass uses a Bartolini active blender to match the piezo to the magnetics. I *almost* had Karl switch it over to a passive stack knob V/T-V/T like a stacker Jazz but I decided to keep the piezo for now.
