I liked this letter they published though...
Isn't peer review wonderful???

David Merrell, a high school student from Suffolk, Virginia, has won top honours in both regional and state science fairs for his original experiment involving a maze, 72 mice & hard-rock!
Establishing a base time of ten minutes for each mouse to
navigate the maze, David began playing music 10 hours a day; Classical Music for one group, and hard-rock for the other.
After exposing each of the groups of 24 male lab mice (except the control group) to Classical Music and hard-rock, for a prescribed period of time, Merrell then began to put the mice through the maze three times a week, for three weeks.
The control-group mice, which were not subjected to any music at all, shortened their time through the maze by five minutes on their own. The ones that listened exclusively to Classical Music cut an impressive 8½ minutes off their time, completing the maze in 1½ minutes flat! But The mice that were exposed to hard-rock music took 20 minutes longer to navigate the maze!
His experiment was prematurely cut short, " Because all the hard-rock mice killed each other," David told us. " None of the classical mice did that at all!" Is it any wonder, therefore, that if these lowly little rodents are so easily affected, why so many of todays young people are being drivenliterally possessedto kill one another for apparently no reason?!
