Yes, very short scale, 24.5" and 31.5" long that I bought from SmallGuitars.com. I only play very short scale and bass ukuleles. Mine are all under 25" scale and 35" long.

Neat! I tried out a fretless bass uke the other day. It had fat rubbery strings. Wild stuff.

That's what I play, and a couple of magnetic/steel string mini bass guitars. I had a custom fretless bass uke made by Bruce Wei in Vietnam, but I use special steel wound nylon core Kala u-bass strings on it. There's so many bass ukes to choose from now.

Check out Kohanmikes avatar. Nice collection! I have one Kala Acoustic fretless Ubass with those rubber strings and they really are pretty awesome in playability and tone. Kohanmike is a bit of a trailblazer in all things ultrashortscale as well as a couple other guys who's names elude me at this moment!

Oh yeah by the way I like the color of your peavey! Reminds me of my Sonic Blue Pbass even though you say it looks more seafoam in person. Either one of those colors works for me!

If he sprayed on a clear coat that turns yellow(ish) it could wander into the realm of Seafoam/Surf Green.
Maybe.... ;-)

(Edit: My Sister has a '66 Musang Bass that started out as Sonic Blue; with a darkened yellow clear coat, it's color is somewhere between Seafoam Green and Sonic Blue.)

And you know, were talking about a color that is sort of on the border of blue and green, and so I do not think it is outside of the realm of possibilty that the bass is indeed blue and I just see it as green, or vice versa.

So, i may still put some more layers of clear coat over it, because i feel like it can't hurt? And that there is some level of protection to be gained in doing that.

Last summer, I scored one of those Surf Green Sterling SUBS. It has a white pickguard, but as I've come to appreciate lately, Surf/Seafoam Green can look really good with a Tort pickguard, but it has to be the right shade of Tort, otherwise, it can look rather nasty. (Not sure I want to buy a Spitfire Tort pickguard for an econo Bass. Lol!)

Nice thing about the spitfire guards is that they're so nice you will most likely sell the bass without it and keep the spitfire for your next bass

I was planning on doing a pearl pickguard, but couldn't find one that matched the stick-on fret blocks.
