OK Tommy, the thread you started is "from silly to rockin", and soon it will be in the misc category, but either way, those green shoes are "silly" your right and certainly older than you are BUT.....
when your rockin your punk X-bass, you'll need rockin' punk shoes right?

most younger cats really arent down with "punk" on the gutter side just the fashion punk side. most kids get that first pistols album and see something mimicable as bad ass and angsty..then they read a book and find out McLaren's plan to sell plaid botique pants to pogoing teens and feel disenfranchised..then they get that clash album and thats the ticket..until they read again and see that CBS pushed that to the masses...eventually they find GBH subhumans exploited..or go the direction of the germs or screeching weasel and they have a real punk rock feeling about this ect ect..eventually they stumble upon crass, fear, uk subs..all along claiming that this is always what they've been into. threads about whats punk or not break my heart but im sure people like ray davies and iggy pop felt they had it on lock down 10 years before punk even had a name....and the guys before them said that isnt wild what hank and jerry lee did was wild. TOMMY do what you like , play it hard and try to enjoy it all the way and dont care what anyone thinks if ya dig it brother, i think its rad that youre putting effort what you like.

I'm saying business' need to create their own thing instead of being parasitic on the dead, but that's just how it is. Don't have to like it tho'.
I don't keep up with fashion, so I won't say anything there.
I think modding is cool, and I'm in favor of anybody doing anything they want to their instrument that helps them enjoy it more, be it relicing, new pickups, or just a couple pieces of tape.

. Retro is in I hate to break it to some of you. Skinny pants, sun glasses, and a woodstock t-shirt is what I wear to my gigs (jams with the band for friends and parents). Maybe a hurley/band/surf company tee or something but thats it. I really don't care what others think. I like it. Nobody hates on Mike dirnt for playing on a bass with star on it and he calls it punk. Nore do people hate on hoppus for having an octupus on his bass and calling it punk. They are punk. It may not be Dee Dee's punk or Duff's or whatever but like it or not they are punk. No music dies, it just changes. Iz be playen whatever there is to be played. If it be jazz thats cool or even blues. It is a punk bass so I put what kind of punk I grew up with on it. Only if you're going after a vintage tone, which I don't think he is.
Well Eq all the way up it is a good rock tone. Flat gives you the hoppus tone.

Lol thx dude. I do like other companys having dead people shirts. I wouldn't have my hendrix tee or Johnny ramone shoes if they didn't do that.
