FS-12 footswitch with the Blackstar U700

I just picked up a Blackstar U700 and am really loving it. I played a U500 combo about a year ago in a shop and was really blown away. I found a great deal on a U700 recently and jumped on it. I'm really happy with it so far. Loud (playing through an older Hartke 410), clean and flexible.

I'm underwhelmed with the footswitch, in particular the fact that there are not LED's and the chorus can be hard to pick up on. The FS-12 extension footswitch looks like a really versatile (and programable addition). I'm interested in hearing from anyone who uses this setup and your thoughts on it.

I'm more pedal and effects heavy than most bassists and like the idea of being able to make more real-time use of the amp's tonal possibilities.

thanks!

I've had the FS12 for about a year with my U500 and I think it is a valuable addition to the combo. You may have read the specs already as they are in the U500 manual, but the FS12 allows you to switch between all 3 preamp voicings (you still have to change the power amp responses by the knob), all 3 distortion types, tuner on/off, chorus on/off and octave on/off. Being able to do all that is really useful to me and they are pretty cheap used I think I got mine for $90 on reverb. Hope this helps!
