Full Scale or Short Scale?

I'm down to a tight D on the E with this short scale rig. This base utilizes full length strings.
Out of 9 present basses and more that a dozen previous nothing performs like this Cortobass
I'm talking to Scott about a 6 pounder on the next build

When I was shopping for a 5 string, scale length was a pretty high priority. All the basses that were 34" or below, the B strings just seemed floppy.
When it comes to four strings, I have no preference. I didn't even realize that two of my basses has different scale length....

I just converted my Brice HXB SS to B-G from E-C. The B string isn't outstanding, but it's roughly on par with my Ibanez using Labella flats. It was very finicky to set up, but once you get it dialed in, it's better than I thought it would be.
