He's known for classical and jazz but John Patitucci is quickly becoming one of my favorite funk players:
Side One of Mandrilland is da bomb! Just one big slab of Afro Cuban funk. Fudgie Kae was minimalist in the extreme, but funky as hell.Funny! I can help you out but I don't think those cats were Cuban. I've got quite a bit of Malo also and I have never heard them this funky....

This tune had me baffled for a few daze...I load a lot stuff into the Amazon Cloud (while it's still available).
I do a shuffle play, this song comes on & as "Untitled" with no band info, either. Parts sounded a little like early Chicago, some parts sounded like the ABB, etc. It is jamming to say the least.
Shazam was no friggin' help.
Somehow, I figured out it was Mandrill.

Early Chicago..... I hear it and I dig it Jim! It's been a while since I've listened to a lot of Mandrill. Maybe it's time?
For cloud, I use Google Play. Initially, they allowed a user to store 20,000 tracks. I maxed out one and started on a new one. I was putting a pretty serious dent in the second account when I discovered that the limit of the first account had been increased to 50,000. I am more than halfway there with account number one. Haven't been ripping discs as much lately but I still have a lot to do. It's mostly been new acquisitions the past few months......
Amazon Cloud was 250,000 "songs" for $50/year (I think).
Amazon e-mail sent out recently said they will not be supporting this next year. I had to let them know I wanted to keep my music in their Cloud...otherwise, it woulda gone away when my subscription ended.
I think if I buy an Amazon Cloud Eligible (Auto-Rip) cd...it still goes in their Cloud.
I will not be able to rip my own come next year. Sucks...

Yeah, Google is free. Any Auto-Rip purchase does go in a user's cloud account for immediate use.
Are you getting rid of your PC? Of course, that, a good CD ripper and if it's important to you, a good tagger are all you need. I'm a Linux guy so my software costs nothing unless I want to use a proprietary option.
