Funk 102

A couple of Jazz Funk grooves. The first is kind of mellow and the second is sweaty....

The Crusaders (From Free As The Wind)

Sweet 'N' Sour

Feel It

Bassist: Robert 'Pops' Popswell

The tracks above are only 128K. I didn't have as much storage space as I do now when I ripped that disc. I will have to redo at some point. And, here some more from Maxayn showing some of that Sly vibe that Billy Low mentioned....

Maxayn (From Bail Out For Fun!)

Moon Funk

Fun

Trying For Days (This is a remake of the original from their first release. Personally, I like the original better but that's just me...)

Bassist: Moon Funk and Trying For Days sound like keyboard bass to me. I am gonna guess that the bassist on Fun is Billy Rich.

Been listening to all the Crusaders records this year! Pops was a master of groove, but it's Wilton Felder's basslines on that Fender Telebass that really get me going!
