I was reading through that and this one got me!

Make sure that you use one 9-volt battery. Not three 3-volt batteries, they won't work and they don't exist.

And the almost-as-good comment from Bigduke that started the thread:

The angry teens have had better lines though, but those are long, long gone by the hands of the mods now.

Speaking of angry teens and especially "the one who's name shall not be mentioned", mentioned earlier on this thread, isn't he of age by now? THAT guy did put even Fassa in shame with his need for recognition and acceptance. And then there was Meev..., and countless others .

After much thought, the one thread that I was most amused by in all my time on TB was the 'BAND!' thread. For those who don't remember or weren't here then, the idea was doing one of those threads that you see all the time about a band late in their career, but never mentioning an actual name or term, just the generic descriptors of them.

Sort of like: "I like Band, but I don't normally get Genre." and "I remember when Debut Album came out I thought they were great. But Unfortunately Hurried Second Album didn't do it for me as much. And I really couldn't get into Ill Advised Covers Album." and "I heard that Singer credited the improvement they made on Comeback Album to his conversion to Obscure Eastern Religion."

And stuff like that...

I also remember a thread about the OP going to a show and seeing an amazing band with an awesome bass player with great tone. The bassist in question pops up and they proceed to discuss how awesome this band is until one of the mods pointed out that both accounts were being generated from the same computer. As you can imagine things went downhill quickly before the mods gave that thread a mercy killing.
