Am I the only one who doesn't really think that the "shreds" videos aren't that funny?

No. I don't think they are funny either. The Jaco/Scofield one just sounded like everyone was just noodling around and being "experimental,man" in a very masturbatory kind of way.
Not funny and not what music is about for me personally.

exactly... that's what's funny about it. The fact that they are/were such great musicians, but hearing the contrary. Like if you saw a sketch with someone playing hitler babysitting or chinges khan playing tennis...

You know how when you hear a joke, it's funny. It's true that it can get old, but please don't spoil it for those of US who have not seen it yet. It is Hilariously funny! It hit home expecially hard for us musicians who can form a connection between what we see the artist doing and what we are hearing, i.e. the hand movements, etc.

So please don't be a pooper - this is some of the funniest **** I've seen on the internet in years, and I want all my friends to see it.
