Ok, about refund, I waited this pedal for 1,5 year ago (almost when this topic even started), I'm sure they will do rightful thing about refund, I'm not worried, just glad that pedal is soon in my pedalboard.

You know, honestly after some good hard thought, I could actually care less about the VAT refund. I as well have been waiting 5-6 years for this sucker to come about or for a used one to pop up for a non insane price. Looks like the wait is worth it. Sure it's not that 99 dollar blow out some lucky people got back in the day, but it'll be worth it for sure. Can't wait to put it on my board!

Look - I live in France and deal with VAT all the time.

Every time I have been in a situation where VAT was refundable, I had that happen the second I changed my shipping address in PayPal. If I was shipping to the UK, it would change it to UK VaT, to France, French VAT, etc.

I have never - and I mean never once - been charged VAT and then been issued with a refund at some random time that remains to be seen.

The fact is that Gabor stated 3 months ago that the issue would be solved with a customs agent. And that's spot on. So where is the customs agent?

Some of you may be willing to laugh off a 27% premium, but I am not. Sorry.

I am super psyched about the product; I think it sounds great; it does look super super cheap; but it's expensive. Add on 27% and its no laughing matter.

Sorry if you disagree.

@Masfed
I think we can give them a minute to figure it out. It seems like a small operation with the current priority of shipping the 100 units ASAP!

As of now, the risk seems VERY LOW, just not on our schedule. KickStarters can be much rougher than this. I think for now the appropriate forum for discussing VAT is via email with Panda-Audio. If no one get a refund by Feb. then that would change things.

February! I've put my pitchfork away (never really had one out to begin with) but it should definitely be taken care of soon rather than later.

Hey guys, this is all I'm going to say about the VAT.

Hopefully we get it back. Yes its a small company. But let's assume 75% of us are getting a refund. 75 x 83€ is €6225. That's a lot of money to wait til Feb for. For anyone that doesn't, please send me $7500 US for 3 months, interest free. Didn't think so.....lol

In the meantime, I have no problem waiting, but let's not let our excitement over getting the FI cloud our financial common sense. If the VAT is an issue, sort it out before hand. Or issue the refund immediately with the order. Its only 100 orders. I own a business and can process 100 invoices, manually in a weekend ...

The €6225 is just tax though so it isn't like they're losing profits by issuing refunds. I'm sure they'll handle it in the next week or so. I'm guessing he'll issue the refund upon shipment as it will be marked outside of the EU>

What are you talking about? So a company collects sales tax (that's essentially what VAT - value added tax - is for US folks) that it doesn't owe. That's cash flow into their pockets. They will never have to pay that money to anyone.

A customs agent should have been appointed.

Why are you complaining, VAT refund does not apply to you in Europe? Unless you are trying to subvert the system somehow...

Well, that's that. :bored:

There were 45 confirmed purchases and possibly a few more from TB alone. It'd be interesting to find out how many are going to a Muse mint-land's BassChatUK members, and how many are spread across a few other forums...
