Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

Usually, to get a VAT refund, the item must invoice (Only makes sense). In many countries, providers of goods like electronics, are not supposed to invoice until an item ships. I would expect a credit raised within 24 business hours of the shipping notice, but who knows when PayPal will apply the monies back to our accounts.

I haven't heard anything from them about the order or VAT refund yet

Also for those who missed it on this thread:

Hi, I'm here as the worldwide distributor of Future Impact. Yes, we will have an option for overseas customers not to pay our VAT - all we need is a customs agent here which will be soon selected.

Yes, process will b as you described, we refund VAT manually after each purchase.

They did bring to life this awesome pedal, so for @Andras Szalay to sign each of the pedals and @Gabor_Gerenyi to manually refund VAT 100 times, I think the least we can do is put away the pitchforks and torches and show them a bit of patience no?? Its seems on every page of this thread since it went available (page 83) refund for VAT has been mentioned at least 2-3 times.

It should come back to our paypal accounts soon after the refund is issued but if you want it back in your bank account it will take 3-4 days.

I think it's with 3-5 days for normal PayPal to see the refund and apply it to your account, but PayPal credit can take a billing cycle.

What may help would be a Credit Memo (invoice for the credit) that way, if there are PayPal issues, you would have some documentation indicating the credit supposed be coming back to you.

ya i would think they would manually refund it from the original transaction on Paypal. If they were to credit or send the refund outside that transaction, they exchange rate would vary day to day.....so if they refunded the VAT of 84.83 EUR may not get exchange to the equal amount that was originally deducted.

Typically on a refunds of the same transaction. Funds are available via paypal instantly. I actually just had a refund sent to me last week from a different purchase from the UK in GBP and it was instant. Going back to my bank account in the other hand will take a couple days.

The main reason people are still asking is that (a) many people aren't reading every post and (b) no timetable has been explicitly discussed (for shipping, VAT, etc.). So while I agree that perhaps everyone should ease up and/or pay better attention to what's already been said in the thread, it would be nice to have just a little more info.

agreed. which is why i posted the links above to at least try to get others at ease. If it is a must need to know, i suggest emailing them directly. @Gabor_Gerenyi is very prompt in responding to emails rather than inquiries posted here on this thread. I'd actually prefer them boxing up and getting all their shipments ready to go out than spending time hanging in this forum...... :bored: actually perhaps my employer too

Agreed. I'm WAY more interested in when my FI is going to show up.

While I certainly agree that the $90 or so that we got charged for VAT is not an insignificant amount, I'm pretty sure they'll get is sorted out in a very reasonable amount of time(Heck, they got an entire pedal to us in a year AND got it done early!). I'm guessing we've all spent $90 on something and it wasn't worth anywhere near that...this isn't that far removed from that. ;)

^^1969 (post count on this thread) times this

......and don't forget that they already announced a second batch will be ready in two months :woot::woot::woot::woot: Pretty quick for a small company, no?

which by the way, they are taking pre-orders for this now too!!

Yes, this VAT refund business is getting stale, especially to those of us in Europe. Please stop.
I was waiting for this and I agree 1000%. We are definitely spoiled here in the US when it comes to pricing on gear. Everywhere else in the world seems to get hit with much higher prices than we have to deal with here in the US.

Counterpoint: a post here could save the trouble of a few dozen e-mails....

Counter to your counter:

just got an email back from gabor, the vat will be refunded AFTER the purchase. he already posted this info here, but will post again. so all good. don't know why it's not done before actually paying.

just a thought about paypal and vat and stuff:

since panda is a small company (and the paypal link looks like the one from a private person, gabor) it is maybe easier to do the vat refund "by hand". this basically means once they get the order, they see what the shipping address is and will refund accordingly. big companies like thomann have an automated system that recalculates prices based on your country selection in the shop. just a guess though.

imagine trying to to sort out 100 orders who to refund to and who not too? granted the system does seem flawed in the first place to our eyes, but they must have a good valid reason to do this as mentioned by lokki.......

yet it still continues...........STALE

I'm super exited about the FI...but it is Xmas season and an $90 refund is nothing to not inquire about. No offense but anybody that has a problem with that can kiss the entire circumference of my very round (well I probably don'y have to finish that do I)

not to mention names Proffrink

Happy Holiday everybody

My point was that I would rather not weigh down Gabor with people sending him a bunch of e-mails when one post could clear a few things up---things not covered in what you just quoted here. Please also note that you are also quoting what amounts to speculation from a closely-connected 3rd party, but not an actual member of the company (as far as I understand the relationship). In any case, whether you are annoyed or not with the questions and discussion that is occurring, it would be good to not escalate the situation any further with large, bold fonts.

here are just two new samples: short sounds, that were asked for a couple of pages before... not at all replicas of the youtube video sounds, just the shortest sounds you can make with the future impact (that have some pitch) these are always the same length (or short really) regardless of how long you let the note ring on the bass.

I can't believe how fast the retriggering is :woot:
