Based on the images I've seen it appears to be in the same casing as a Unibass/Deep Impact. IF (speculation is always fun) that is the case then the case will be 7"x5.5" and made of metal.

The case is metal. It is similar to the DI, but not the same. The shape is different, and the size is somewhat smaller.

So I have a question regarding the actual sale of this product on the site listed. So they include a VAT price that is added. I was under the impression that as a United States citizen I do not have to pay EU Vat. Which makes me wonder will that change? If not, why would it be charged?

I ask my partner at pandamidi.com who is distributing Panda-Audio products, he can answer these questions better.

I know we are probably a ways out from a demo but I am getting super excited for one

I expect great bass, good leads but even some synth pad chords with 4osc and harmonizer.

If it is controllable via MIDI, a poly mode to play each oscillator with a different MIDI not would be a cool addition, but not at all necessary for finger thumping.

The number is actually 70 mA, but that's still incredible!

That has nothing to do with being digital or analog, it just depends on the draw of the pedal. At 70ma you should be fine daisy chaining.

I don't get people that won't buy a pedal that looks ugly (and I'm not saying the current mockup of the FI's graphics is ugly)... If you don't like the looks of a pedal's graphic, then get out the spray-bomb (rattle-can to you Yanks), OR...

There's this GUY see? JWR see? He does magical graphical transformationals on pedals, and for a small sum of money he'll make the fugliest pedal look beautiful in the eye of the beholding stomplayer.


I'm neutral on the current FI graphic. Better than nothing.

Not always true there are pedals with even less draw then that and analog that need isolated power ( i.e.: EHX Bass Micro Synth all analog: uses 55mA,isolated power required). Just wondering for power layout on my board @Andras Szalay

I think Isolated power, (if you can fit it), is just a better, safer and higher performance way to go. I'd stick to isolated supplies if you have large investments on your board.

Yeah with all due respect I did not understand the other comment. IME raw current amount is usually the last factor in whether or not you can successfully daisy chain something, if you're talking off of something like a 1spot (rather than a single PP outlet).

It's a big factor for pedals like Strymon, Eventide, etc.

It's true those are high-current draw pedals and it's true they may have trouble being daisy-chained, but that doesn't mean that the former causes the latter. Daisy-chaining pedals of opposite polarity almost always gives you problems, and the Eventides are center-positive. I assume that is the #1 issue there.

Pedals with internal charge pumps also do not always work well with daisy chain or switching power supplies. This includes analog pedals.

Hi, I'm here as the worldwide distributor of Future Impact. Yes, we will have an option for overseas customers not to pay our VAT - all we need is a customs agent here which will be soon selected.

FI's pricing scheme is still under discussion, we will kepp you informed on the website!

We obviously don't pay Vat since we're not in the EU but it is always possible you'll be hit with customs charges on imported packages. I'm really not sure what triggers it. I've been charged for things from Canada and China but have also received plenty of things from those countries with no charges.

Yes, occasionally US officials set a duty on packages from EU.
