Re VAT.. If I were to order the midibeam , I see no alternate price option for US buyers that does not include VAT

MidiBeam is a sub-150 EUR item which does not get VAT refund in our country unfortunately.

"Tax" does appear separately in the cart.
My guess is he would refund it to customers outside the EU, or issue a VAT free Paypal invoice upon request. Better check with him though.

I live in the country in the middle of Europe, yet we're not part of the EU (we buy from them VAT free and pay our own, lower VAT upon import).
I've had only once a seller from Germany refuse to deduct VAT from their sale price. Needless to say I did not go through with the purchase.

Yes, process will b as you described, we refund VAT manually after each purchase.

That has nothing to do with being digital or analog, it just depends on the draw of the pedal. At 70ma you should be fine daisy chaining.

Not always true there are pedals with even less draw then that and analog that need isolated power ( i.e.: EHX Bass Micro Synth all analog: uses 55mA,isolated power required). Just wondering for power layout on my board @Andras Szalay

Yeah with all due respect I did not understand the other comment. IME raw current amount is usually the last factor in whether or not you can successfully daisy chain something, if you're talking off of something like a 1spot (rather than a single PP outlet).

It's true those are high-current draw pedals and it's true they may have trouble being daisy-chained, but that doesn't mean that the former causes the latter. Daisy-chaining pedals of opposite polarity almost always gives you problems, and the Eventides are center-positive. I assume that is the #1 issue there.

Pedals with internal charge pumps also do not always work well with daisy chain or switching power supplies. This includes analog pedals.

Yeah, so I wanted to throw my 2 cents in here. @sillyfabe is right in asking this. I would too. I have a fuzz pedal that will only work on isolated power and I bet the current draw on it is only like 8ma or something like that. So MA draw is only part of the equation when figuring what you should or shouldnt run on isolated power. My fuzz pedal may be a different sort of case because of the componants used. But it still remains, just because something has a low current draw, it doesnt mean that it will like being daisy chained with other pedals. It depends on if you have 20-30 pedals running on a board, like fabe does, it depends on what those other pedals are, so there are all those factors in that process of thought.

So IME, me? I wouldnt daisy chain something like the DI. Unless I did try it chained and it was OK. But my first thought would be against it. And not because of MA draw....

Does midi out send pitch tracking note data? I think we were told know several pages back but if the answer was yes that would be HUGE.

Dude you aren't kidding. When you take into account the used market in the US, often I see people buying pedals for 30% of market value in Europe. Btwn VAT, the exchange rate, and higher MSRPs, it's amazing how much more expensive gear can be in Europe.

I have yet to see a EU manufacturer screw us Euros though by having different prices for the US and EU markets. Although I could just buy the FI in the US if there is a difference....
