No battery supply needed, active/passive switch would be nice.
9v standard boss center-negative. without the display and the relay power consumption is 22ma, very modest for a digital pedal.Keep costs down w/o power supply, absolutely.

That's good and the lack of one wouldn't put me off a purchase. In my experiences the a/p switch provides a 'level playing field' for active basses to start with.

But the old "active = hotter signal" is just not true!
There are higher output and lower output basses, and the passive and active classes overlap almost completely.
So many different levels, an adjustable sensitivity/input gain knob makes more sense to me than a switch. I hate those badly named "passive/active" switches with passion. They often just provide a poor pad and contribute to disseminating the myth of active = hot".
Wow, modest indeed! Are we potentially talking < 100 mA even when those other factors are considered? To power off of a single Voodoo Labs-style 9V 100 mA port would be amazeballs.
