Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

I'd rather just set it up so I have it as another preset that's on already that I can switch to on the pedal without bending over.
Or just use a MIDI controller so you can turn it on/off within a single preset. Really, to get the best out of the FI a MIDI controller is essential, doesn’t have to be a super duper expensive one either.

I just dont have alot of room on my board and not crazy about adding more stuff. my question is, when I go to add delay to the preset 21 the options look different than when I go to the tap tempo starter preset how do I get it to show up as notes?

please read the relevant section in the manual.

Onboard Tap tempo sets a fixed ratio of 1:2. If you want specific note values then you need to sync to MIDI clock and switch on sync in the editor for the delay line(s).

ahhso it doesnt matter what the delay time says as long as its tap tempo its 1/2
Correct. The onboard tap tempo sets the speed of delay line 1; delay line 2 beats twice as fast as that.

If you use external midi then you can tap in a tempo and have the two lines set to whatever ratio you like from the available options.

Cool got it working thanks! Very cool!
Great.

A thought occurred to me: even if you don’t use MIDI clock, you can still turn sync on in the editor and set the note divisions because the FI will default to 120bpm when MIDI sync is in but no clock signal is detected. (You’ll only be able to preserve those divisions at different tempi if you send clock - tap tempo simply overrides any clock/sync settings to beat at 1:2.)

RE: Future Compact enclosures, be aware that at least one TB’er has been waiting over 8 months after paying in full- Future impact re-housing project
@GisserD
Hopefully just an aberration, as I’d love to order one of these for my Future Impact once I know it will actually make it to me!
Absolutely an anomaly; Darren is a good guy.

Couldn’t agree more. He certainly went over and above with my order, in difficult times, and I’m quite happy with it. More than inclined to cut someone some slack for missed deadlines in these extremely trying times, particularly when they represent such a small percentage of total orders, and it’s clear he’s getting the supply chain spun up again.

I don’t want to see yet another community initiative crushed by people expecting corporate-level service from people who are hobbyists struggling to fulfill a niche community need during one of the most challenging times humanity has faced. He’s not Roland or Yamaha.

And driving him out of business with repeated negative posts because of a couple of outlier cases that he’s now got the means to resolve would leave us with how many rehousing options? Hell of a “win” you seem to be chasing.
Well said.

I will certainly still wait and see before sending my $$ all the same!
There are plenty of satisfied customers. I’ll happily vouch for him.

He’s certainly not responsible for international mail problems. I believe, by his own admission, there was an issue with emails going astray, which he has now addressed. I’m pretty sure that the people in question will be able to contact him and he’ll sort it out.

The issue in question is laid out clearly over the last several months of posts on the other thread, and was nothing involving lost emails
Please bear in mind the times we are in and that people have had to deal with a lot over the last year, often tragic things of far greater importance and seriousness than a housing that didn’t arrive (annoying as that may have been for the person in question). It’s not my place to air someone else’s personal life, suffice it to say, there have been more pressing concerns. Please cut him some slack and let him sort it out with his customer, which I’m certain he’ll do.

@4Mal my sincere apologies for the lack of contact. Please contact me via the new email address and I will make everything right.

I'm genuinely looking forward to engaging with the community again!!! I can only hope that one missed order in difficult times does not ruin my reputation.

I will make it right for anybody who feels I have let them down in any way. Please contact me personally.

Thankyou
