Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

is that patch readily availible?
It’s factory patch 1. Well, almost; I used my original version of it which uses expression instead of accent to morph the parameters (I shared this one a couple of years ago). I then tweaked the FI’s EQ a bit to beef up the bottom end.

I set the expression pedal at about 25% (can’t remember exactly) but it’s obviously replicable.

I’ll share the amended patch.

Yeah that looks pretty interesting. Unfortunately space is to tight even with the rehousing. I guess I’ll have to have a larger build at some point but it might be a while. This ones only just recently been finished.

Cheers

Ben
It’s worth making room for. It’s so central to my setup, I wouldn’t ever want to be without it.

Man the fidelity of the FI is really a thing of beauty. Such a great sound. It truly is an amazing pedal.
Full disclosure: both clips were run through the very same preset on my Source Audio Collider (so adding some very subtle delay and reverb).

In fact, I came up with a patch on the Collider the other day which transforms many of the simpler FI patches into huge things. I did it with a short analogue delay that is modulated so it gives a fat stereo chorusing effect, that then goes into a small hall reverb. The factory patch “Talk Bass” sounds amazing through it. I’ll see if I can get some clips up.

OK, I give in. Bought the C4 some weeks ago, not sure I get along very well with the conceptual design, and have not committed to external controllers etc.
Will shortly order a Future Impact to see if I like that workflow better.
With @Quatschmacher and many other members as the never fading lights of inspiration, I am convinced I can find enough sounds from either FI or C4 to keep me busy and creative for a long time forward.

Both are great pedals.

@Quatschmacher I agree however I feel the FI is a step ahead overall. The UI design of Neuro Desktop is superior and maybe easier to grasp than that of the FI Editor. What I can get from the FI sonically though... I've cut back to Hx Stomp and FI as my sound modifiers. still hve a C4 and hub waiting on the shelf.. not sure if a pair of FI isn't my answer though.

My holy grail patch is Gary Wright's My Love is Alive. Pretty much a Mini Moog in the bass with a Clavinet above... The others are Chameleon and Boogie On Reggae Woman... pads and the other stuff, not so much...

You won’t get much argument from me on that score.

I actually prefer the FI editor; having all parameters visible on a single screen without needing to scroll and having all values shown at all times are, to my mind, better.

And, yes, the envelope and oscillator options on the FI are more to my liking.
