Has anyone considered the possibility to making this a Kickstarter so folks could put in the funding up front if they want or at least contribute if they want to wait and see? I'm 50/50 for Kickstarters but this one seems like it might have some solid backing and provide proof to the manufacture that there is tangible support as well as a consumer base that would buy into it. Just my two cents...

Well, you can always message us and ask for guidance - we can't read every post made in every forum which is why we rely a great deal on post reports to catch rule breaking posts.

We have a complete ban on all things charity related, whether it be direct solicitation or gofundmes etc. Call it the 'Mike Winnen rule' if you will, read the below thread for the situation that led to this

Hmm...I can think of a manufacturer that promoted their Indiegogo within the last 18 months. It seemed like they were following all the rules (they didn't start they thread, they were just keeping people up-to-date on the process). So that was against the rules? (And by the way, that one turned out fine.)

I know people are excited to throw their money at the dev and secure a pedal ahead of time but he has shown no indication that he needs to have costs paid for ahead of time. It seems like he already has the capital to make the initial run happen.

I believe early on @lokki mentioned crowdfunding as a possibility, but otherwise you've got a good point.
