Might get even closer if my paraphony idea gets implemented. It works well with my Matriarch, it is funny how similar the architecture is between the Matriarch and the synth engine of the FI.
Oh yes please. Pretty please with sugar on topMight get even closer if my paraphony idea gets implemented.
Would you trigger from a keyboard or some kind of polyphonic sequencer or program chords to switches on a controller such as Morningstar or Mortrix?Oh yes please. Pretty please with sugar on top

FWIW I am currently finding using the FI v4 with a Zoom MS70CDR+, it is an outstanding coupling for enrichening my sound creationzzzz.
Probably from my Arturia KeyStep 37 that I use with my B2600 as a manual and also sequencer. .Would you trigger from a keyboard or some kind of polyphonic sequencer or program chords to switches on a controller such as Morningstar or Mortrix?
That would be a good combination.Probably from my Arturia KeyStep 37 that I use with my B2600 as a manual and also sequencer. .
I will eventually try my bass > FI4 > B2600.That would be a good combination.
Uninstall v3 and remove all associates directories before installing the v4 editor. Is anyone having a problem with the V4 editor not opening on MacBook ? My V3 editor opens and runs fine on the same laptop ?!?. 2015 MacBook Pro , Monterey 12.7 ,……I got it to open one time , the first time I used the V4. It started to act funny when I was in Manager checking out all the presets and then it crashed and never opened again . I have deleted. , re downloaded and replaced the editor download from the Panda support site and it still won’t open …. Thoughts ? TIA.![]()
I also live in the Atlanta area. I ordered mine several weeks ago, but asked Gabor to hold off shipping it, as I would be out of town. At my request, he shipped it out on June 7, and DHL sent me a notice that it would arrive on June 10! I asked them to hold off til the 13th, but they delivered it on the 12th. Tracking shows it left Budapest on 6/7 and arrived in Atlanta on 6/9! That's pretty impressive!I ordered a v4 on may 22nd? Should I expect it soon?
Send the NRPN then.Is there a reason why so few parameters in the FI V4 are assigned midi cc numbers? For example, its frustrating to have to create two versions of the same patch just so that I can switch between keyboard trigger and gate. If I tweak the gate patch then I have to make the same changes in the trigger patch. It would be a lot simpler if I could just send a cc message to switch from gate to keyboard trigger on any patch. Many synthesizers allow fairly broad cc assignments. The Flex controller is very useful for some purposes, but is not universal.
Keyboard Mode: gate/trigger.Send the NRPN then.
What do you mean by “gate” here?
See my edited comment above.Keyboard Mode: gate/trigger.
Would be helpful for Pitch Follow (on/off), Keyboard priority (low, high, last), as well. I see Sustain and Portamento (on/off) do have cc numbers.
Thanks for the explanation. I figured there had to be a good reason. That said, I think Pitch Follow (on/off) is one that could be useful for those using either midi or audio input. Since I got the midi controller bass I use midi exclusively on synths and forget that audio is the input for the vast majority of users of the FI.See my edited comment above.
It is good to hear that there are people like you, who use the FI as a MIDI expander. Unfortunately, there are rather few of you, and I heard about even less who use it with a regular, 6 string guitar, although the design makes the FI equally useable for all three cases. Thanks for the explanation.
