I tried with 4.11 and passed program changes. It works. However, if the program what you select has active MIDI synthesizer program, then the number what will be sent out is not what you sent in, but the number of the MIDI patch in the program. Read the appropriate section in the manual.

My "big" FI4 just showed up in the mail last week. I was aware that this was in the works but wanted this for an upcoming gig. Current size doesn't bother me that much, but it appears that the writing is easier to read on the new version, which would be a help for my aging eyesight. If the new housing is sold, wonder how easy the move would be for a DIY'er, would wires need to be cut, etc?

Virtual Keyboard question - I recently received my FI4 and had a blast playing with the delivered patches the other day. I have it successfully connected to my Mac, and can play sounds via the virtual keyboard within the editor, but would love to be able to press down and hold the note on any of the keyboard keys with a computer keyboard press and then use my mouse to play with the sliders in the editor. As it stands, I can only temporarily play a note, adjust a setting, then play the note again to hear the difference. I've searched this forum and the documentation and cannot find out if this is possible or not. I'd prefer to not have to connect an external midi keyboard (believe that this is an option).

It would be handy if note commands were triggered by a QWERTY keyboard as i often use a MIDI keyboard when recording and this would save desk space.

should just be able to drop it in. However, as I understand it, the foot switches aren’t as tall on the mini version so swapping the guts of a big box one into a mini housing would mean you had taller switches, which may actually be desirable anyway.

Anyway I have a couple of questions.
Why are most of the presets transposed an octave low?
Also I notice the volume of the presets not being constant. Will the algorithm clip or saturate internally if I up the volume of the oscillators to 127 and/or use the overdrive without drive just to boost the level?
Will there be any way to buy a new housing and get my "old" future impact pcb inside a new small housing? The size of the pedal is a real issue unfortunately.

Presets I shared are often transposed an octave dish so they can be played on bass higher on the neck, which reduces the latency.

Boosting oscillator levels internally will introduce foldover distortion read the section of the manual about that). Best way to adjust level would either be by using the “level” parameter on the panel or by adjusting the main mixer output in the editor.

Currently the housing isn’t available separately but I hope this will be offered later.

Yes, definitely, it can. Furthermore, as it is explained on the video that you must not use this sound in the lowest octave of the bass guitar, this is no restriction with the FI V4. As I described a few weeks age a preset what I prepared for our coming concert:

So, I took a second Flexi with Pitch as the source, and feed it to the VCF LIN of the main mixer through an S-curve.
