Future of music

True. I listened to a couple songs. Musicality is definitely not any part of the appeal of this stuff.
It's definitely not my thing. But if the music wasn't appealing to a lot of people, they wouldn't pay attention.

Also, I read the article and it mentioned two other elements of the music: storytelling and mixing in other cultures. Some of the other items are about visual appeal, certainly, but that's been an important part of music videos since before MTV was created and an important part of live performance since before any of us were born.:)

I think that their will be a massive nuclear war. Once the dust settles, us strange looking, deformed beings will come up with odd instruments......they will be cool though, since we will all have 7-15 arms and feet.
 
i hope it's more guys like Bruno Mars who let his bassist just go for it live. Jamareo Artis is an absolutely fantastic bassist. I only dream of making music feel that good. Although I have been dissecting some of his lines from live videos to try to see how he approaches things. C'mon Bass Player mag, get that feature set up already!
