The Woolly Mammoth is cool but it is very aggressive sounding. It doesn't have any kind of "mild" setting.

I'm looking for a nice fuzz pedal.

Little Big Muff. Its so inexspensive, people don't belive how good it is! Retains the low end, smooth fuzz, true by pass, takes standard Boss style pwr supply, very sturdy, small size, and makes your bass roar!

I am still amazed at how good this pedal is for ther $68 Canadian it cost me brand new!

The mxr bass blowtorch is worth checking out. It is described as an overdrive, but can get a nice, tight, punchy fuzz, IMO.
It's not cheap, though, but seems well made and desiged, except for an additional boost switch placed on the side of the unit, rather than the top. I don't get that.... but it has a mid range switch, which allows you to dial in a nice midrange punch to cut right through the mix. Overall, pretty nice.

oh yeah! But I hardly use mine these days. I think it's a bit agressive (or maybe i'm the agressive one) for what I'm doing.
