Fuzzes... Muff types - Buzzy types... Your favorites?

Interestingly enough, even though it's a muff type I like the Swollen Pickle for TIRO. The Little Bear BS1 (woolly mammoth clone for $50) and the Mooer Fog are also good ones over on the buzzy/synthy side.

B:assmaster is probably my favorite fuzz overall though.

I quite like the sounds I can get out of my defect EHX Tube Zipper (only works as fuzz, though the envelope filter setting does have some minor effects on the overall character and tone for some strange reason).

It's kind of a mellow smooth kind of sound it got, not to say it's weak, it has tons of gain, it's just sort of a soft smooth sound in contrast to more gritty gnarly fuzzes.

It is also capable of some mildly synthy sounds as well.

Where I really like it is when I stack my Boss MT-2 in front of it, that at the right settings turns it into an over the top out of control monster fuzz of doom adding tons of tons of overtones and enveloping everything put through it in a thick layer of velvet mud with the most interesting and beautiful grain structures.

My favorite fuzz which I had the pleasure to try out at a couple of occasions, but never owned my self, is probably the Fender Blender though.

It is capable of producing the most brutally harsh, nasty, ugly, gritty, gnarly broken kind of over the top out of control fuzz sound I ever heard.

Hope to acquire a clone myself at some point, hopefully not in the too far distant future.

I own one fuzz pedal and its the fuzzrocious grey stache in the standard no add on format. This pedal is a ripper and a tearer. Absolutely amazing sound that it produces and well worth the money.

Same. Grey Stache with tone bypass mod is the only fuzz I use. Everything else I've tried doesn't have either enough note definition or doesn't have enough fatness.

Hey guys,

Well, trying to complete my board with the perfect fuzzes, if that's ever possible lol, and trying to settle on the best options for a muff type fuzz and a buzzy synth-like fuzz "à la Time is running out".

So...

Your best muff type fuzz?

Your best buzzy synth-like fuzz?

Fire away!

Thanks.

Muff fuzz?
SGFX Imperial or Fuzzrocious Heliotropic

Buzzy fuzz?
Malekko B:assmaster (my favourite fuzz)
SS/BS TAFM (what I use for Time is Running Out)
