Fuzzrocious Club - *High Five!*

Soooo... I'm wondering if another pedal in the Fuzzrocious stable (such as the Dark Driving?) might be a good alternative for enhancing my clean tone and for stacking with other dirt such as the RT. I've heard many of the sound clips on Ry's site but real world experience is always appreciated.

Other than the BDPG, everything else will have more dirt to it, and may not enhance your cleans as you wish.

Nah, like a year and a half ago I had finally saved up for a ric. I bought a new one from MF and it wasn't what I was hoping for so I returned it. After selling a couple more things (and standing front row in front of brian cook's meat smoke) I just went for it and I'm super happy I did. as for the meat smoke pre I've been in the need of a more portable rig and this is the first step towards that, plus it'll be great for doing some home recordings when I come up with ideas.

to be more on topic, the boost on the preamp or OD channel on the head stack super well with the Fuzzrocious stuff. You get some absolutely crushing sounds pairing verellen and fuzzrocious.

J/K :smug: I have the Big Spider and it doesn't play well with others. No matter what you plug into it or it into, it does it's thing and mows every other effect down in it's way. I'd like to fool around with a meat smoke pre, but I just can't justify the price. I'm sure it's worth it, but I don't have enough use for it to justify it.

Hopefully within the next week or two, I will be putting the Rat Tail to the test. Whenever the Earthbound Iron Pig gets here, I will be doing a video comparison, then an audio comparison.

Who will win? Will the Rat make it "squeel like a pig"? Will the Pig take care of that "dirty, double-crossin' rat"?

We'll find out.

I'm hoping the RT will excel over the IP via the clipping knobs.

I'm sure it will be a cool pedal. But I am sticking with my Rattail. It's not like I use my RT for different sounds. I have it set to what is perfect for me and thats that. And I never find myself thinking , the RT would be better with.....I think its perfect. So I can't see how those other options would matter. But hey, thats just me. Im interested to hear what you find. And which you will keep. Good luck

Even if the Iron Pig loses to the Rat Tail, I'm not entirely sure if I will flip it. I could always set one for low gain and the other for high gain. Then I can run 'em both.

Plus, I got one of the super, ultra, mega rare, elite black on black pigs.

thats what i was considering doing at one point. got offered a Dark Driving though, so gunna see how that pans out. shud be here today or tomorrow. :bassist:

I got an idea for the next Fuzzrocious pedal.

The 308stache!

It's a muff with each transistor stage replaced with a metal can LM308. You could set them up as an inverting amplifiers. The regular stache input and feedback resistors can be used to set gain.

So...........when can we expect production to begin?!?!?

k so i have had a little play with this new Dark Driving.
It is the older version.

Is it meant to be really low gain? i can't seem to get any grit out of it. i've messed with the inside a little and haven't been able to find a sweet spot as of yet.

any suggestions for settings? the demos i've seen get a decent amount of dirt going on, but i can't seem to make it happen.

Stock settings are internal trim pots maxed out. What color is the ring around saturn?

Remember it reacts to your playing too. The harder the dirty is what I go by with mine which should be same as yours.
