Any of you guys have any experience comparing the Guyatone VT-X tube tremolo to the Tremorslo?

I've got the vt-x right now but am always dropping down to mess with knobs to jump between settings. The idea of switching with my foot-of-steel sounds appealing. I am very happy with the Guyatone's tone, though. Thoughts?

So further to happily adding a VB-2 & an Earthquaker Orgnizer to my board a couple of weeks ago, I'm really happy to now add...........

My new Fuzzrocious Grey Stache, #73
All the way to the UK from Ry in New Jersey.
Gated with seperate control, 2nd oscillation/feedback footswitch, clipping options: LED - Assymetric LEDs - Germanium

Oh.....and Kid-paint! :D

So does that make me #115?

Si

I got rid of my VT bass, it was good but I wouldn't consider it great. The setting I liked the most didn't sound too different than my Orange terror with no effects. It was like using a boost. That said I'm about 90% on getting a BDPG. Few questions. I'd most likey be using it at the end of my chain with a more low end focused setting. 1) How does it differ sound wise from a VT or a Tone Hammer? 2) Does it act as a direct like the rusty ? and 3) It does not have a mids knob, but has a tone stack designed by Ryan so is it safe to assume that its heavy on the mids? If anyone has a sec to answer one or all of these it'd be appreciated.

2) Just guitar in/out. No DI.

3) There is a low mid and bass emphasis at clockwise and high mids and treble emphasis at counter-clockwise. At noon, there is a slight treble rolloff.

Would it be possible to have a BDPG with more controls on it ????

As much as I hate to admit it, it really doesn't need them.:o

The tone knob should get you where you want. I run mine between 8 and 11 and there is nothing but AWESOME in that zone. Not really sure what you would do to improve it!
It works well with most other pedals, so if I'm running something into it, I keep the tone up more towards 11(which in the case of the BDPG...the tone control kinda works backwards with less bass is CCW and more is CW.) and do any little high end tweak with the pedal(s) I'm running into it. Which are usually the DD, RK and/or GS.
That's the beauty and genius of Ry! They basically work as 1 big pedal when running more than 1.

So... I got offa work Friday to find a surprise package in my mailbox. Didn't even know Ry had shipped it out, but I didn't mind :D. I call it the "Devil Dick Peanut Gallery" because of the sexy red enclosure and black ink/knobs. :bassist:

Took it down to band practice expecting to love it, and once I got it plugged in and set up it was even better than what I had expected! I run it after my RK, and it just kinda smooths out the Rat's nasal-ness-ess, just a little bit. And adds its own brand of grit, I really don't know how to describe other than amazing.

So add me to the line of devoted Dick fanboys.

I've had the broke dick gas for a few weeks now. I ordered one today. I played two shows this weekend and had a few people comment on the RatTail/ Rusty combo. I know they say if it aint broke don't fix it, but, I'm pretty sure this will be a big upgrade. It is stamped though. And as one of those clowns who used to draw dicks on everything in highschool, I would have been stoked on the bandaged dick. But, I have shows to play, so if I could avoid the wait, awesome!

My band released a live EP this last weekend. My Grey Stache is on throughout a couple of tracks start to finish and sounds wicked though the Genz/Barefaced set up I use.

The tracks with the Stache on are...
http://ourhelicalmind.bandcamp.com/track/belly-door (Stache into WMD Super FatMan)
http://ourhelicalmind.bandcamp.com/track/needs-wheels (Stache into Moog ClusterFlux)
http://ourhelicalmind.bandcamp.com/track/not-p-c (Stache into WMD Geiger Counter from the 2min marker)

Best - Fuzz - Ever. FACT!
